Ardo Kola LG boss swears-in 10 newly elected PDP ward executives

The newly elected People’s Democratic Party (PDP) executives from the ten (10) Wards of Ardo Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State have been sworn-in to office.
Information gathered by our Correspondent revealed that PDP, after four (4) years of service to the electorates organize congresses for National, State, Local Government or Ward executives to pilot its affairs for another tenure as enshrined in its constitution.
Ten Ward executives of the Party from Ardo Kola recently elected were sworn-into office as organized by the local government council.
Speaking during the ceremony held at the Party Secretariat Sunkani, the Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Ismaila Zakari (Dangote) urged the newly sworn-in officials to embrace peaceful coexistence and unity among party faithfuls.
Dangote, as he is popularly called, reiterated the need to carry everyone along so as to sustain the principles of togetherness in which according to him PDP was known for.
He assured the gathering of maintaining and sustaining the five finger agenda of the State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas and his mantra of moving forward, peace and harmony’ among the people of the State.
“I want you therefore to contribute your own quota in maintaining and sustaining the moving forward agenda of our amiable Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, support my efforts also as your Chairman so that together, Ardo Kola people will get the needed dividends of democracy they have been yearning for”,
“In my capacity, I will make sure that peace is sustained in all the Wards and also ensure that Ardo Kola remains a PDP local government”, he said.
Speaking in an interview, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Kini Nomini described Ardo Kola as one of the peaceful local government areas in the State.
Nomini pointed out that with Dangote as the Chairman who he also described as a lover of peace, the people will always be united.
Also in an interview with our Correspondent, the Palliative Chairman of the local government, Yusuf Salau said bags of rice and grains were shared among the people recently as palliatives to soften their hardships.
As the Palliative Chairman of the local government, his mission was to make sure that the items meant for the people are evenly distributed to all and sundry.
According to him, he involved the Mai-anguwa, the Councillors, the Hakimi, among other critical Stakeholders from each Ward, describing it as a method of sharing towards ensuring that everyone benefit from the gesture.
He however, refuted speculations that complaints have reached his table from those who have been denied of benefiting from the gesture.
“Since my inception as the Palliative Chairman of the local government, distribution and sharing of items and/or goods have been going smoothly, no complaints”, he noted.
