Ardo-Kola LG boss presents 2025 Budget Estimate of N5.7 billion

The Executive Chairman of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Zakari Ismai’l (Dangote), has presented the 2025 budget estimate of Five Billion, Seven Hundred and Seventy Million, Six Hundred and Eighty One Thousand and Sixty Kobo (N5,770,681.060k) to the legislative council.

Making the presentation at the council chambers in Sunkani, headquarters of the local government, Hon. Ismai’l said the significance of the budget was to mark a new chapter in his administration as the council chairman and for the welfare of the good people of the local government.
The chairman said the budget estimate tagged, “budget of transparency, accountability and development” would be used for infrastructural development, education, health care services and, youth empowerment.
While assuring that the N5.7 billion budget would capture all the key budget allocations of the local government, the chairman added, “Hon. Leader, hon. Councillors, I hereby present to you, our Budget estimate to the tune of N5,770,681,060k with the following percentage:
Personal cost = N2,100,188,369.67k
representing 35%, Overhead cost = N1,143,536,211.24 k representing 20%, Capital expenditure = N1,715,304,316.56k representing 30%, Consolidated Revenue = N571,768,105.00 representing 10%, Internal Debt Services = N285,884,105.81k representing 5%, among others.
Dangote who reiterated his administration’s resolve towards meeting the dire needs of the people, also pledged making judicious use of the funds.
He however, called on the Legislative arm of the local government for speedy passage of the budget.
Also speaking, the leader of Ardo-Kola legislative Council, Hon. Tanko Othman appreciated the sportsmanship of the chairman and his team and expressed the councilors’ readiness to fast-track the proposed budget.

Hon. Othman, who represents Tau Ward of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area, promised to liaise with executives so as to pass the budget within the time frame.
Our Correspondent reports that critical Stakeholders, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) party faithfuls, opinion leaders, religious leaders and traditional rulers from the local government area attended the Programme.
