ADSU SET TO CONFER DEGREES ON 9,225 GRADUANDS, 42 BAG FIRST CLASS

The Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, is set to hold a combined 15th, 16th, and 17th convocation ceremony on November 1, 2025, for a total of 9,225 graduands.

Out of this number, 45 students graduated with First Class honours.
A breakdown of the figures shows that 15 graduands will receive Diplomas, 8,871 will receive Undergraduate degrees, and 339 will be awarded Postgraduate degrees.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Augustine Clement, during a world Press Conference on Friday congratulated the graduands for their resilience, discipline and perseverance.
He urged them to go out and become good ambassadors of the institution.
Professor Clement also used the occasion to highlight several key achievements of the university.
He announced that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the commencement of new academic programmes like Cyber Security, Information Systems, History Education, Public Relations, and Journalism and Media Studies.
Furthering its commitment to students development, the VC revealed that the institution has established a Career Development Center to guide students in choosing and training for suitable careers.
To ensure high standards, a Quality Assurance Unit has been created to maintain the highest global benchmarks in the university’s operations.
On staff welfare, Professor Clement stated that the university has cleared the bulk of arrears on earned allowances and has implemented the 25% and 35% salary increment for academic and non-academic staff, respectively.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the Adamawa State Government has continued to take deliberate steps to position ADSU as a “beacon of excellence” and sustain its pride as the foremost academic institution in the Northeast sub-region.
The convocation events will feature a lecture titled, “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Transform Education in Nigeria: Intelligent Solutions within Constraints,” to be delivered by a seasoned scholar, Professor Liman Tukur.
