ADSU MUBI, MATRICULATES 4,079 FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Adamawa State University, Mubi (ADSU) has officially enrolled four thousand and seventy-nine (4,079) new students into its academic programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The newly admitted candidates, who met the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) cut-off mark, the National Universities Commission (NUC) benchmark, and all university requirements, were formally inducted during the institution’s 21st Matriculation Ceremony.
The students gained admission into the university’s eight faculties and its Sandwich Programme.
In his welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Augustine Clement, congratulated the students on their successful admission, describing it as proof of their competence and displayed potential for learning.
He, however, issued a stern warning against involvement in social vices.
Professor Clement specifically advised the fresh students to shun cultism, violence, indecent dressing, drug abuse, and examination malpractice, noting that such immoral behaviours are capable of destroying their future.

The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Brima Bwatalang, in a vote of thanks, commended the Adamawa State Government for providing a conducive academic environment for both staff and students.
He stated that this support has greatly enhanced teaching and learning in the institution.
Some of the newly matriculated students expressed their gratitude to the university for the opportunity to pursue higher education, pledging to focus on their studies.
The ceremony was attended by government representatives, heads of sister institutions, as well as other distinguished guests and dignitaries.
Adamawa State University, Mubi, established in 2002, is the first state-owned university in North-Eastern Nigeria.
Its mission is to serve as a citadel of learning and development in the region, with a strong conviction for community service, integrity, and innovation.
