ADSU MUBI ANNOUNCES SENIOR ACADEMIC PROMOTIONS

The Vice-Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, has officially announced the promotion of nine senior academic staff members.

The announcement was made during the 134th meeting of the University Senate, held on Thursday, 29th January 2026, at the Senate Chamber.
A statement issued by the University’s Information and Protocol Officer, DD Kwabe, confirmed that the promotions followed the successful receipt and consideration of external assessment reports for the candidates.
While making the pronouncement, Vice-Chancellor Professor Augustine Clement congratulated the newly promoted staff.
He charged them to show greater dedication to their duties and to engage in groundbreaking research that would enhance the university’s academic stature and contribute to national development.

Those promoted to the rank of Professors include, Dr. Stephen Aduwamal Lagu – Professor of Linguistics, Dr. Zainab Buba Mshelia – Professor of Ecology and Dr. Donald Zira John – Professor of Numerical Analysis
Others who have been promoted the rank of Readers (Associate Professors) are Dr. Asia Elihu – Reader in Parasitology and Public Health, Dr. Mauda Ahmed – Reader in Taxation, Dr. Lucky Benson – Reader in Public Policy and Governance, Dr. Thandime Appolos Garba – Reader in Fish Breeding and Genetics, Dr. Yusufu Gambo – Reader in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Dr. Denis Basila – Reader in Accounting
