ADC refutes allegations of leadership tussles among members

The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has refuted allegations making the rounds that the party is currently passing through leadership tussles among its members.
Former Federal lawmaker, Senator Abubakar Umar Tutare debunked the allegations while answering questions from Journalists at the Taraba State ADC Secretariat in Jalingo.
Senator Tutare, who described the allegation as a rumour further said that it was peddled by mischief makers who he noted have nothing to offer as leaders of Nigeria.
Emphasizing that he is a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of ADC, and a leader of the party’s coalition in Taraba State, Tutare said he’s not aware of any leadership tussle arising among the members of the party both at the national or State level.
“I am not aware of any leadership tussle in ADC and I have not seen any tussle there. It’s a rumour, people are telling you lies. Whatever thing that APC will do to destroy ADC will fail”, he added.
According to him, almost all the leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are people who have been in government over the years. “They know what is good and the things that are bad”.
“There’s the need for us to readjust, strategize, to come up with a way of developing this country. We want to make Nigeria a country that everybody will envy. It’s very very unfortunate that we have a country that the leaders don’t have the interest of the common man”,
“Nigerians, you have seen how APC is ruling us, how they are destroying the country. I am calling on Nigerians to come out let’s vote out this government. Let’s vote in the government that has the interest of the people at heart”,
On the issue of Nigeria heading to a one party system, Tutare condemned the idea saying the ruling party is trying to destroy the country.
“We are challenging them and by the grace of God, we are going to defeat them in the general elections. We are going to have 18 House of Assembly members in Taraba State. ADC is fully prepared for the fight and we are going to give them the fight they want”, he added.
Distinguished Senator Tutare however, told Journalists that he was in Jalingo to assess the level of preparedness over the unveiling of the State ADC Secretariat.
As the leader of the coalition in Taraba State, Tutare opined that he has to be on ground to make sure that all the requirements for the programme to be successful are made available.
