ADAMAWA STATE CHIEF JUDGE INAUGURATES LOCAL GOVT ELECTIONS PETITION TRIBUNAL

The Adamawa State Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman has constituted Local Government Elections Petition Tribunal.

Those constituted are: Hon.Daniel John as Chairman, Sa’adatu Umar Babayi, member, Kabiru Musa, Secretary, Ahijo Idris Ateeq (retired) member and Zainab A Buba.
Also inaugurated concurrently are members of the Appeal panel headed by Hon.Justice Samuel L. Kyanson to be assisted by Justice Abbas A. Hobo.
The Chief Judge while inaugurating the Panels said, the action is in tandem with section 53 and 58 of the Adamawa state Electoral Law 2022 which empowers her to do so.
Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman charged them to uphold the principle of Justice and fairness in dispensing the assignment.
She prescribed three months for the Election Petition Tribunal while the Appeal panel has a period of two months making a total of five months for the entire assignment.
