Adamawa Security: Modibbo Usman Leading Hunters To Crackdown On Kidnappers, Bandits

By Fidelis Jockthan

Alhaji Modibbo Idris Usman Tola did not only inherit the bravery and spiritual warfare against bandits and kidnappers but the man that knows and understands the terrains and fringes of Adamawa landscape.

The 47 years old warlord has traversed the entire Northeast sub-region, particularly the bushy Nigerian borders with Cameroun Republic.

Since he took over from his late brother, Alhaji Muhammadu Usman Tola, as the Chairman, Hunters Association of Nigeria, Adamawa State and the entire Northeast on 27th April, 2024, the narrative of his feat as regards cracking down on bandits and Kidnappers has been overwhelming because of the breakthroughs despite the hilly nature and modus operandi of the deadly criminals.

He quickly established a robust cordial working relationship between the operating military units in the Area, Police and other Paramilitary Security Agencies to provide a platform for smooth operations.

He seeks support from government and Traditional institutions to facilitate the operations and logistics of his members in combating crime and criminality.

Through the joint and separate operations, Hunters Association of Nigeria has recorded a lot of successes in tracking and arresting bandits who are now under police custody.

The men of the underworld around Ganye chiefdom thought they would have had field days after the demise of Alhaji Muhammadu Usman Tola in perpetrating their activities, but Idris Modibbo Usman Tola said there will be no hiding place for the criminals.

He is a man of his own and a gallant Commander that spares no evil deeds nor evil doers in all his operations.

This is why people including collaborating Frontline Security Agencies always commended him for his bravery.

Modibbo said “I am going to consolidate on the gains of my late brother, Baba Tola, by prevailing on truth and justice.

“All we need is support and cooperation from the grassroots to the higher echelons of power for proper coordination and operations.

“Our members need to be encouraged and supported to perform their functions in assisting security Agencies.

“We contributed a lot during the fight against insurgency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states.

“And now we are on top of banditry and kidnapping.
The Almighty Allah is our strength.”
