Adamawa Politics: Chief Caleb Commends Lutheran Church, Unveils 2027 Gubernatorial Ambition

Chief Caleb Andrew Myebangara, JP FCA (Shettiman Batta), a prominent Adamawa State figure and Gubernatorial hopeful, has publicly commended the leadership and members of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), Numan, for their fervent prayers and support, which he described as a “strong pillar” for his 2027 political ambition.
Myebangara, who also holds the traditional title of Shettiman Batta, made the statement on Sunday while addressing a large congregation during a service.
He praised the church for its significant role as a stabilising force in society and lauded the existing unity of purpose within the congregation.
He urged them to sustain this spirit, emphasizing that his goal is to build upon the democratic achievements of the current state administration under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
In a speech that energized the audience, Chief Caleb framed his ambition as a divine calling. “The Almighty God is leading the path to leadership in 2027,” he stated, asserting that his mission is “a divine call to propel the affairs of Adamawa State.”
His introduction to the congregation was met with an electrified atmosphere, as admirers and supporters cheered, applauding his personality and what many perceive as his innate leadership qualities.
Chief Caleb Andrew Myebangara is a Justice of the Peace and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) who believed in a better Adamawa project.
