ADAMAWA POLICE, MILITARY LAUNCH JOINT RESCUE MISSION AFTER MADAGALI ATTACK

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed a dawn attack by suspected terrorists on Gare Village in Madagali Local Government Area, resulting in the abduction of six family members and the theft of livestock.

 

According to a statement released by the Command, the incident occurred in the Pallam District.

In response, the Police Commissioner, CP Dankombo Morris, immediately ordered a joint security operation.

Personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, troops of the 144 Battalion, and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have been deployed to the area.

The operation aims to locate and rescue the victims, recover the rustled animals, and pursue the attackers.

Security patrols and presence have also been intensified in Madagali and surrounding border communities to prevent further incidents.

The Police Command, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies, reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, stated that further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
