Adamawa NUT Orders 21 Trucks Of Fertilizer For Teachers

The Nigeria Union of Teachers Adamawa state Wing has ordered supply of 21 trucks of fertilizer for teachers in Adamawa state for the 2025 farming season.
Three trucks have already arrived the state for onward distribution to three local government areas in the state.
The State Chairman of NUT, Comrade Faisal Mohammed disclosed this development when SWEC members of the Union comprised of State leadership and 21 local government branch Chairmen paid him a sallah homage in Yola.
The homage is a culture nurtured by the Union either on Christmas or sallah festivities for SWEC members to visit their leader to interact and share joy together.
He said each truck carries about 700 bags of the commodity and the gesture is to empower teachers across the state to boost agricultural activities for food security.
According to him, the move was part of his promises made seven months ago during his election as Chairman of the union and many incentives are still in the pipeline.
Comrade Faisal used the opportunity to appreciate the Governor of Adamawa state, Rt.Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the recent implementation of the new National minimum wage for local government workers in which teachers are the major beneficiaries.
He further announced that a new date will be fixed for mop-up exercise for screening of teachers .
The NUT Chairman who highlighted few among the feat achieved so far within seven months of his stewardship said all the operational vehicles of the Union have been refurbished while the entire NUT Secretariat is undergoing rigorous renovation and teachers Welfare Scheme has also been revived.
The Secretary of the Union, Comrade Wakil Kyari commended the Chairman for his foresight, attributing the successes to the support and cooperation of SWEC members and Staff of the Union.
Other Speakers including ANCOPS Chairman, Alhaji Dauda Abubakar,AOPSHON Chairman, Mohammed Mailapsy and the NUT ALGON Chairman, Suleiman Umar all poured encomiums on the leadership style of Comrade Faisal Mohammed for bringing hope for teachers in Adamawa state.
