By Fidelis Jockthan

The National President of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu has paid a visit to victims of the recent flood disaster in Adamawa state to sympathize with them over the unfortunate incident that occurred recently.

The JUSUN President who was accompanied by the Adamawa state State Chairman of the union, Comrade Fxenty Sanda Lamurde and other officials, expressed shock over the level of devastation caused by the flood, calling on government and the authorities concern to intervene immediately.

Comrade Marwan who was the first Unionist to have personally visited the flood victims, prayed for the 23 persons that lost their lives and also consoled with those that are rendered homeless by the devastating flood.

In the wake of the sad incident, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and other top functionaries have earlier visited the flood victims warning citizens not to build structures along the waterways.

The devastating flood which occurred after a heavy down pour, was said to have emanated from a dam belonging to Chinese miners around Bole, a split of the ancient city of Yola in Yola-South Local Government Area of Adamawa state, drowning about 23 lives while others were trapped in their buildings.

About 2,000 refugees are now being camped in a nearby Primary School in Yola-town.
