Adamawa: DR. YAHAYA SAIDU EMERGES PDP FLAG-BEARER FOR FUFORE LGA

A philanthropist and business mogul, Dr. Yahaya Saidu Yahaya, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Fufore Local Government Chairmanship election.

Dr. Saidu emerged through a consensus during a well-attended primary election held at the Presidential Lodge, Fufore.
He garnered 131 out of the 238 votes cast by the delegates, with 57 delegates absent.
Announcing the result, the Majority Leader of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Kate Mamuno, who presided over the primaries, described the exercise as transparent and democratic.
She commended the people of Fufore for the maturity exhibited in endorsing a unanimous flag-bearer.
The Northeast Zonal Vice-Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Babangida, while addressing supporters, stated that the party remains unbeatable in Adamawa State due to its strong structure and the purposeful leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi, expressed the party’s readiness for victory in the forthcoming elections.
Emphasizing that Fufore has benefited from appointments and developmental projects, Jingi noted that the PDP will campaign “from door to door, house to house” to ensure it sweeps all seats.
The current Chairman of Fufore Local Government, Mrs. Peace Samson Audu, overwhelmed by the good conduct of the delegates, expressed happiness that a competent hand like Dr. Saidu Yahaya would soon take over to consolidate on the gains recorded under her leadership.
She thanked stakeholders and party members for their confidence in her.
The candidate, Dr. Yahaya Saidu ,elated by the unanimous endorsement, pledged to propel policies and programs that would move Fufore forward.
Several speakers at the event, including Alhaji Yayaji Gombi, former lawmaker Salihu Kabillo, and the local government party chairman, all poured encomium on Dr. Saidu Yahaya’s leadership qualities.
