ADAMAWA : 300 YOUTH GROUPS ENDORSE DR. SALIHU BAKARI GIREI FOR 2027 GOV’SHIP RACE

The Adamawa State Youths Forum has thrown its weight behind Dr. Salihu Bakari Girei, declaring him the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) ideal candidate to reclaim the state in the 2027 governorship election.
The group, which claims to represent voices from all 21 Local Government Areas, made the declaration in a Yola, the Adamawa state Capital during a News conference on Monday
The Forum expressed profound gratitude to the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the party’s North-East Vice Chairman, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, and other stakeholders for their unwavering commitment to progress and unity.
The Chairman of the forum , Umar B..Yakubu urged party leaders to view the 2027 gubernatorial race with the eyes of wisdom and strategic foresight, warning that the party cannot afford to gamble with the election.
Presenting Dr. Girei as a tested, trusted, and proven leader, the Forum described him as already made, thoroughly cooked, and a complete breed of leadership.
They highlighted several qualities that make him the standout choice, including:
Proven administrative competence, unmatched grassroots mobilization structures across all local governments, Massive cross-sectional support cutting across ethnic, religious, and political lines, a track record of delivering results in public service and community development.

Other qualities are that Dr Salihu being a staunch party loyalist from inception who has helped build the party and contributed significantly to investment in sustainable youth development through education and employment and a rallying figure for APC elder statesmen, stakeholders, and official party organs.
The group noted that the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has been rattled by the policies of the APC-led Federal Government, creating a favourable environment for an APC victory.
However, the group cautioned that goodwill alone will not win elections and therefore must present a sellable, unifying, and electable candidate.
The Adamawa State Youths Forum, therefore, called on all APC critical stakeholders to prioritize competence, experience, and electability and to rally behind Dr. Salihu Bakari Girei as the bridge to victory in 2027.
