Tarabans laud Jalingo Orthopaedic Hospital CMD over prudence, safety of patients

Tarabans on Monday lauded the Chief Medical Director of the National Orthopedic Hospital Jalingo, Professor Chubado Tahir for prudently using the available resources to develop the hospital.

A medical practitioner in Taraba state, Dr Dacha Inu who spoke to Blueprint during an exclusive interview in Jalingo expressed happiness that Chubado has within a shorter time turned the newly established hospital to a world class.
“We are all aware of the lean resources available, but Tahir’s commitment and hard work is currently transforming the hospital” he said.
He explained that the Chief Medical Director has done well by providing Tarabans with better and good Orthopedic health care delivery system.
According him, Chubado is currently expanding the new Orthopaedic hospital with numerous ongoing projects.
“The temporary site provided by the Taraba state government with no structures is today different from what Chubado has done.
“As i speak with you, I was in the hospital last week, I went round and I saw the ongoing massive constructions including parameter fencing and procurements of other new medical equipments” he noted.
Also, a patient who was discharged during the year 2025 Christmas season, Yahaya Dan Da while speaking to our correspondent via telephone conversation hinted that Chubado has instilled a discipline that ensures safety of patient is key.
He noted that the hospital under Tahir established procedures, behaviours and other health care environments that lower risks, reduce occurrence of avoidable harm and make error less in the hospital.
He highlighted that the hospital need more funding to enable the CMD equipped the laboratory, radiology department and other units for better delivery.
