600 NULGE MEMBERS TO GET PIECES OF LAND IN ADAMAWA STATE

About six hundred members of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE in Adamawa state are to get plots of land by next year 2026.

The State President of the Union, Comrade Stephen Agontora who disclosed this to Newsmen during an interactive session in Yola said, the gesture was part of the initiatives of the present leadership of the union where a meagre amount is being deducted from their statutory salaries.

The location of the land is at Malkohi after Army Barracks yola.

Agontora also confirmed that about sixty members benefit monthly by receiving over two hundred thousand naira each for retirement, a gesture funded through the union’s Welfare Scheme.

“In case our member dies, his next of kin will come with necessary documents and collect his money because the funds are from the contributory welfare Scheme”.

The NULGE President who Commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for implementing the seventy percent minimum wage since May 2025, called on local government workers to reciprocate by being punctual and dedicated to their duty posts.

“Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is very promising. Local government pensioners are no longer complaining and salaries of workers at the local government level has been consistent. We must support the Governor in making Adamawa a better State in the country”, the NULGE President said.
