Taraba Security: Commissioner Commends Security Agencies For Fighting Crimes

The Taraba State Commissioner of Trade, Commerce and Industry, Hon Peter George has commended security agents in the state for their dedication and commitment to rid the state of criminal activities.
The Commissioner made the commendation when he visited some of the security formations in the state where he presented them with awards for their sacrifices.
Echo Express recalls that before the coming of the present administration under the leadership of Dr Agbu Kefas, criminalities were the order of the day.
The people were constantly living in fear of their lives because the men of the underworld could strike at anytime and at will without any challenge to their nefarious activities.
But on resumption of duty, the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas brought to bear his experience as a security expert, adopting proactive measures and his commitment has not only seen the reopening of hitherto closed local markets across the state but also boost economic activities and the people can now sleep with their two eyes closed.
Speaking at all the headquarters of security operatives visited, Hon Peter George appreciated them for their positive contributions and gallantry.
The Commissioner said the successful battle which dislodged the criminal elements in the state was made possible because of the synergy to address the ugly situation.
According to him, the monsters were bent on making life unbearable for the citizens.
He stressed that Governor Kefas who had prioritized security, collaborated and strategized with the security agencies and today the state is not only safe but is peaceful.
He saluted the doggedness and unwavering commitment shown in all the fights against kidnappers, bandits and armed robbers, adding that now farmers can freely access their farms, local markets that were closed as a result of insecurity have been reopened and travellers can now travel without any fear of either being kidnapped or attacked.
He said the award is to thank security agencies and appreciate them for their resilience and sacrifices in the fight against criminals, tasking them not to relent as the criminals may adopt other strategies especially during the fast approaching yuletide period.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Urban development, Comrade Julius Vau applauded the Governor for bringing to bear his experience as a security expert, which he said has yielded positive results as before his assumption,the state was a living hell, thanking the security operatives for their contributions.
He recollected how he almost lost his life to the agents of darkness but that God saved him.
Responding, all the security Chiefs visited were full of appreciation to the Commissioner for the recognition and honour while attributing the successes and remarkable achievements recorded to the concerted efforts of the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas.
According to them, the commitment of the Governor is the driving force that led to winning the war against the criminals, assuring that they will continue to do their best and be combat ready at anytime, warning criminals to consider repenting or stay away from the state as the fight is just beginning.
In their remarks, the State Chairman of the Taraba State Farmers Association, State Secretary of Traders Union and the State Branch Secretary of Arewa Traders Association all commended the dedication and the zero tolerance approach adopted against the criminals and their activities by the Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, saluting the critical roles being played by security operatives, who risk their lives to ensure that normalcy is restored in the state.
The impressive initiative which is first of its kind in the state will definitely rekindle the hope and determination of the major players in the fight against crimes and will ginger the operatives to redouble their efforts, knowing fully that the people are supportive and fully behind them.
The series of awards to appreciate the collective efforts towards a peaceful atmosphere in the state will culminate with the grand award to the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas at a later date.
