Ismai’l clocks 1 yr in office, developing Ardo KolaOKERAFOR ATHANATIUS, JALINGOThe Executive Chairman of Ardo Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Zakari Ismail (Dangote) has clocked one year in office, achieving some developmental strides in some communities of the council.

It could be recalled that Hon. Dangote as he is popularly called was one of the 16 executive chairmen that were sworn-in by the State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas on the 20th day of November, 2023 at the gym hall of the Jolly Nyame stadium, Jalingo.
Hon. Dangote, in an interview with the media shortly pledged his administration’s resolve to tackle key issues bothering the people of the local government.

Ismaila said Insecurity, Education, Health Care Delivery Services, Agriculture, Water supply and Rural Road network are his primary objectives, describing them as the reasons why he chose to serve the people as Executive Chairman.
“I have so many issues to tackle in Ardo Kola Local Government Area as the Executive Chairman and the issues are; Insecurity, Education, Health Care Services, Agriculture, Water Supply and Rural Road network”, he added.
Clocking one year in office therefore, the people of the local government have witnessed massive developmental projects initiated and executed by Hon. Zakari Ismail’s administration.
One among the projects was the construction and rehabilitation of Marraraba – Mayo-Renewo road which has remained deplorable over the years.

The chairman stressed that construction and rehabilitation of access roads in remote areas would ease the movement of goods and services from one community to the other.

The issue of insecurity across all nooks and crannies of the local government has been reduced to the barest minimum owing to the drastic measures taken by him in collaboration with security personnel in the area.
“Protection of lives and property of the citizens must not be compromised”, he assured.
He also made some achievements in the sector of education, by creating a conducive atmosphere for learning and also made sure that parents bring their children to school.
He told our Correspondent in a telephone conversation that the free education policy declared by Governor Agbu Kefas must not be taken for granted.
Information gathered by our Correspondent revealed that attention was given to some health facilities and centres with a view to enhancing health care delivery services of the people.

He however called on the people of Ardo-Kola to continue to support the administration of the State Governor, Agbu Kefas for meaningful development to thrive in the area.
