2nd Phase of Tinubu Renewed Hope Employment Initiative: NDE trains 1, 152 Unemployed youths in Taraba

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) on Thursday commenced training of one thousand, one hundred and fifty two thousand (1, 152) unemployed youths in various vocational skills in Taraba state.
The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment, H.E Silas Ali Gara who stated this during the flagged off of the 2nd Phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in Jalingo, said the Initiative was conceived under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and driven by the NDE.
He highlighted that it is a testimony of the federal government unwavering commitment to reducing unemployment, eradicating poverty and providing meaningful employment opportunities for unemployed Nigerians.
“Nationwide, this second phase is providing 41, 307 jobs and out of this number, 1, 152 was allocated to Taraba state” he added.
The DG who was represented by the Acting State Director/State Coordinator for Taraba State, Mr. Suleman Usman Bwala hinted that the four NDE programme departments would deliver carefully designed schemes to equip beneficiaries with relevant skills and opportunities.
According to him, a total of 491 would be trained on sustainable agricultural training scheme (SADTS ), small stock (goat production training scheme (SSGPS), micro livestock agricultural scheme (MATS), community based agricultural training scheme (CBATS), fish production training scheme (fish feed formulation techniques) (FPTS), organic agricultural training scheme (OATS).
He noted that a total of 278 will also be trained on small scale enterprises (SSE) enterprise and finance counselling clinic (NDE- EFCC), start your own business (SYOB), basic business training (BBT), women in income generating activities (food processing and catering services) and micro enterprise enhancement scheme (SSE).
He further added that 227 would be trained on vocational skills development (VSD), basic national open apprenticeship scheme (B-NOAS), community based training scheme (CBTS), quick-fix demand training (Quick Fix), digital marketing skills for employment and wealth creation, techno-cultural craft training scheme, special vocational training for persons with special needs and IDPs (Vulnerable groups).
He maintained that a total of 128 beneficiaries will also be trained on special public works, graduate attachments programme (GAP), collaborative employment scheme (ACCES), graduate coaching scheme (GCS), solar energy training scheme (SETS), environmental Beautification training scheme (EBTS).
“Let’s all know that the NDE’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiative is not just about skills acquisition, it is about building a self-reliant generation, promoting Entrepreneurship and stimulating grassroots development and this skills will open doors to agriculture, small enterprise growth, vocational innovation, digital opportunities and public works” the D.G said.
