2027: Rimin Zayam Faults Northern Politicians Over Tinubu’s Re-election

By Abbas Usman, Bauchi

A Chieftain of All progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi, Alhaji Bashir Bukar Rimin Zayam, has counseled political stakeholders in the North to exercise restrain with the governance style of President Tinubu’s administration.

He gave the advice on Monday during an interview with journalists in his office where he said whether the administration is sidelining or marginalizing the Northern region in terms of democracy dividends provision or not, it is too late to cry because what happen has already happened and nothing would be done to retrace the effects or change the situation.

The Bauchi APC Chieftain advised that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be allowed to have a second term in office, saying the so-called clamour among northern politicians to pitch tent or merger with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) will not hold water.

“Imagine, this Lagos politician single-handedly used the resources at his disposal to win APC presidential primaries and subsequent election in 2023, what more in 2027 elections when he would have the electoral empire and the entire security architecture or apparatus in his pockets”.

After all, Rimin Zayam queried, were the staled projects such as dredging the River Niger, completion of Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mill or Mambila Hydroelectricity Dam project or even the Bauchi Kolmani Oil started by the administration?.

“The Tinubu administration has wisely right from its inception entirely handed the nation’s security architecture including agriculture and education to the North with a slight change later in education for the appointees in those sectors to do him the needful or bastardize the system even during elections”.

Rimin Zayam explained that taking into cognisance all these strategies and many more undisclosed in the offing, how can one be thinking of beating President Tinubu in the 2027 elections, when he is yet to exhaust or unveil all his strategies for the ballot-box game.

“When President Muhammad Buhari was previously in power for eight consecutive years, where were these ‘ Fanca-Pamco’ Northerners to coerce or even force Buhari to execute or complete those projects”, Rimin Zayam further queried.

According to him, it is better to persuade President Tinubu to dance to their tune, rather than coerce him with all sorts of jargons such as amalgam, merger, coalition or alignment in the bid to oust him out of power in 2027.

Alh. Bashir Rimin Zayam wondered how the Northern Politicians were beating around the bush, instead of tackling the insecurity problems bedeviling the region, consuming in tens and hundreds of sisters and brothers, children each and every day as slaps on their faces.

He frowned, ” Those so-called Northern Politicians and their cohorts are only good in buying or building Mansions here and outside, getting beautiful wives, and heaping billions of dollars in their residences and foreign accounts without necessarily caring for the poor north, Almajiri and poverty”.

“These people don’t bother to establish any factory, mill or any company for that matter for the North poor offsprings to fend for living. From River Niger to Maiduguri, one can hardly count seven factories, what bothers them is power, to rule people desperately, Rimin Zayam regretted.
