By Mustapha Rafindadi
The race for the Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 National Assembly election is rapidly gaining momentum.

Musa Abba Kiri
Inspired by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s performance-driven governance model, constituents are increasingly evaluating their leaders based on tangible track records and community impact.
This shift in voter sentiment is fueling a growing agitation across the political landscape of the constituency for Comrade Musa Abbas Kiri (Jarma Shelleng) to contest come 2027.
This popular call is driven by his deep grassroots connections and consistent philanthropic gestures, particularly his support for farmers, traders, and local communities.
Stakeholders who confided in this writer affirmed that the name Abbas Kiri is central to any discussion about Project 2027 in Guyuk/Shelleng.
“He is a young man who has used his office to expand his political frontiers into our rural communities,” one stakeholder noted.
Another added, “Abbas is serving Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri diligently and deserves to be rewarded with the position if he so wishes.”
The sentiment was echoed at the grassroots level by a market trader: “He is our son, and we are praying for his aspirations to come true in 2027.”
His recent interventions underscore this support.
Kiri reconnected the Wuro-Yanka community in Libo District of Shelleng LGA by procuring and installing eight electric poles with corresponding wires.
He also restored energy by reinstalling a solar power system in Shelleng town.
Furthermore, he purchased 100 JAMB forms for youths and provided transportation to and from the exam centers.
