2025 will be a year with a difference in Taraba – Jalingo Chairman Assures

The Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Taraba State, Hon. (Dr.) Aminu Jauro Hassan has assured the people of the State that year, 2025 will be a year with a difference.

Hassan, who spoke to Reporters in Jalingo on his 2025 new year message, said the Chairmen of the sixteen (16) local government areas of the state will in 2025, have the opportunity to do things differently.
Such things he reiterated are, the execution of projects that would have direct bearings to the people at their various council areas.
Piloting the affairs of Jalingo people as their Executive Chairman, Dr. Hassan further explained that Governor Agbu Kefas has adopted several security measures towards ensuring that citizens and residents of Jalingo and Taraba, sleep with their two eyes closed.
He said the Governor has done so well and has spent so much in the sector of security with a view to protecting the lives and property of the people of the State.
According to him, the menace of Kidnapping, house breaking, armed robbery and banditry, phone snatching, among other categories of insecurity have drastically reduced in all nooks and crannies of Taraba State.
“Governor Kefas has done so well and has spent so much in trying to ensure that the people of Jalingo and by extension, the people of Taraba enjoy the enormous peace at their various localities”,
“He has helped us to arrive where we are today and the peace we are enjoying”,
“I want to pray that year 2025 will be a year with a difference, where all local government chairmen would have a sustained peaceful coexistence with their people and therefore, have the zeal to work for them”,
Governor Kefas has supported Jalingo local government through a community peace Committee initiative that is going round all nooks and crannies to fish out miscreants and other criminals”
“The Committee is working in synergy with the security agencies to ensure that these criminally minded individuals are arrested and prosecuted”, he said.
He however, described unity as paramount and a panacea for a very successful development to the people.
“We should look at ourselves as one and only one. And we should also continue to sustain the momentum as our brothers’ keepers”,
“I want the people of Jalingo and Taraba State to continue to be law-abiding and continue to support Governor Agbu Kefas so that 2025 will be a year of sustainability, where the State government and that of the local government will continue to provide the needed dividends of democracy for them” , he added.
