2024: FMC Jalingo Wraps Up Year With Memorable Tea Party and Awards Ceremony

The Federal Medical Center, FMC Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital has concluded the year with the highly anticipated “2024 Tea Party and Awards presentation” held at the open space opposite Isolation Ward 1 within the hospital premises.
The event which was attended by the Medical Director of the Centre, Dr Aisha Shehu who led the celebrations, was organized by the Servicom Unit and brought together staff from various departments.
In his welcome address, the Head of the Servicom Unit and Chairman of the organizing committee, Dr. Theophilus Aboki, described the event as the first of its kind.

He stressed that the occasion was a testament to teamwork and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Dr. Aboki who welcomed all attendees to the event, encouraged them to relax and enjoy the festivities.
In her keynote address, the Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo Dr. Aisha Shehu Adamu expressed immense joy at the large turn out of the staff.

She thanked Almighty God for making the event possible.
Dr Aisha Shehu Adamu noted that the occasion was not just a end of year celebration but also a moment to reflect on the institution’s journey and accomplishments.
“This event is not just about marking the end of 2024; it is an opportunity to celebrate our collective efforts and sacrifices that have propelled FMC Jalingo toward its goals,” she said.
“Your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in our progress, and for that, I am deeply grateful.”
The Medical Director wished that the programme was introduced earlier but emphasized the importance of beginning now, saying, “Better late than never.
She however, acknowledged the challenges faced during the year and commended the staff’s resilience and determination in overcoming them.
Projecting for the future, Dr Aisha Adamu assured the staff of management’s unwavering support and outlined plans for 2025.
These will include the Construction of new structures, Procurement of advanced medical equipment and Recruitment of additional staff.
Others will be the Expansion of training opportunities locally and nationally and improvements in operational processes for better service delivery among others.
“These changes are aimed at making FMC Jalingo a better place for both staff and patients alike.
“By this time next year, I hope we will be celebrating even greater achievements in our new auditorium,”.
Highlight of the event also include the recount of Dr. Aisha Shehu Adamu’s significant accomplishments as Medical Director.
The occasion featured the presentation of awards to 35 outstanding staff members, with the Department of Audit recognized as Best Department of the Year.
Cultural performances by the Taraba State Cultural Troupe and comedic entertainment added colour to the celebration.
The event underscored FMC Jalingo’s commitment to excellence, teamwork, and innovation in healthcare delivery, setting the tone for a promising 2025.
