Taraba: i4CUS Takes Action at Jalingo Main Market as MD Leads Data-Driven Community Intervention

The Managing Director of i4CUS, Joy Abama, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting government institutions in addressing grassroots challenges that affect citizens’ daily livelihoods.
Speaking during an inspection of Jalingo Main Market, Joy Abama said the engagement was guided by i4CUS’ mandate to provide technical support, data-driven solutions and community-focused interventions that complement government efforts.
She explained that the i4CUS team engaged directly with traders, listened to their concerns and documented key environmental and infrastructural challenges within the market.

According to her, the organisation moved beyond assessment to action by initiating immediate remedial measures, including the clearing of blocked drainages to improve sanitation and ease business activities.
She noted that while some of the issues identified require broader government intervention, i4CUS remains committed to addressing what is achievable within its capacity and escalating critical concerns to the appropriate authorities.
The Managing Director commended the collaboration with the Taraba State Internal Revenue Service, describing it as a practical example of how strategic partnerships can deliver visible impact.
She stressed that i4CUS is focused on strengthening institutional effectiveness, improving service delivery and creating healthier, more conducive environments for economic activities across Taraba State.
She assured traders and stakeholders that i4CUS would continue to work closely with relevant agencies to ensure sustainable solutions and lasting improvements in public spaces.
