Taraba NOA Urges Residents To Respect National Symbols

The Taraba Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), has called on the residents to uphold National Symbols with highest respect and honour.


In a statement issued on Tuesday by Mallam Zakari Muhammad, Director of the agency in the state, NOA said the symbols represent national unity, values and history.

He recalled that every 16th day of September was set aside as Observance of National Ordinance Day; upholding respect for Nigerian national symbols.

” Today, September 16, 2025, Nigeria commemorates National Ordinance Day, a significant occasion to honor our national symbols.

“As we mark this day, we urge all citizens to uphold the highest respect for these symbols, which represent our nation’s unity, history, and values.

“Significance of National Symbols such as the National Flag, Coat of Arms, the constitution, currency, international passport, and Anthem, are more than just emblems.

“They embody our nation’s identity and aspirations. These symbols remind us of our shared heritage and the sacrifices made by our forebears to build this great nation.

” We must respect national symbols, treat our national symbols with dignity and respect, recognizing their importance in our national identity.

” As we celebrate our national ordinance day, we urge all Nigerians to join in this commemoration, promoting a culture of respect, unity, and patriotism,” he added.
